We got our killing frost on Friday night and again Saturday night, but the sweet potatoes are all safely out of the ground and in the curing room. And the few that aren't there, will be in your share this week, along with many of the other crops rescued from the frost, plus some of the cold-hardy greens and roots.

In Your Share This Week 

Make sume delicious Fried Green Tomatoes!
Green Tomatoes  Unlike many other unripe fruits, the green tomatoes have almost the same nutritional values as the ripe ones. But their taste and texture is very different, and you should treat them like the bright, almost citrusy, fruit that they are.  See more information and recipes in the sidebar.

Sweet Potatoes - a mix of varieties, some are the moist, orange "yam" varieties, and others denser, dryer, and sweeter Asian varieties.

Root crops, including Radishes: your choice from a number of options tbd

Mesclun or Stir-fry Mix 

Choi  - your choice of Tatsoi or Mei Qing Choi

Japanese Scallions (negi) -- grill them on their own, or chop and salute as the first step of just about anything you're making.

Kale- sweeter now, following the frost

Green Bell Peppers --  rescued from the frost
